Godox launches tiny lithium-ion powered V350 speedlight

Godox’s range of lithium-ion powered speedlights have been incredibly popular since they were first introduced. The original V850 and V860 speedlights were an instant hit. They had great recycle times with a lot of battery capacity to keep going all day. Followed up by the V850II and V860II with built in 2.4Ghz receivers that have proven equally popular.
Then they announced the TT350 – A smaller form factor speedlight that many opt to use on their hotshoe as a commander. But the TT350 uses AA batteries, like the TT600 and TT685 (AA powered version of the V850II and V860II respectively). Now, though, Godox has launched a lithium-ion powered version of the TT350, known as the V350.
As with other lights in the Godox lineup, the V350 is available in Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fuji and Olympus/Panasonic flavours. The lithium ion battery of the V350 offers more than 500 full power flashes on a full charge, more than double that of the TT350. It also provides recycle times of 1.7 seconds – half a second faster than its AA powered equivalent.
In all other respects, the V350 seems identical to the TT350. It supports high speed sync up to 1/8000th of a second, front & rear curtain sync, multiflash, manual flash and TTL. It can also act as a transmitter for other Godox flashes, like the AD200, AD360II and AD600Pro.

It doesn’t look like there’s any reason to buy the TT350 anymore unless you just want to save yourself a few short-term dollars (long term, you’ll eat that saving with the batteries you buy). The TT600 and TT685 do still hold a single advantage over their lithium-ion powered V850II and V860II counterparts in that you can hook up an external power pack for even faster recycle times and longer life. The TT350 offers no such advantage over the V350.
The Godox V350 is available to buy now for $159 in the USA, and from Pixapro in the UK for £130 for Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fuji and Olympus/Panasonic.

cool! it’ll be awesome on my M5 instead of the yongnuo 560 :D
They seem to be doing a lot more in lighting than a lot of other 3rd party companies had in the past combined.
The V version seems to be much more than “just a few dollars”. The TT350 is $85 USD and the V350 is $160 USD. Amazon does not seem to have the Nikon version but Ebay does.
Go Godox! I have seven of their flashes and love them.
i would rather buy 2 tt350 versions. If the V battery dies on you, you’re fucked…

You can. It’s the Godox VB20. But it costs $45 for just that battery (both amazon and B&H). It’s a tough debate because the v350 is about $65 MORE than the tt350. You can almost buy two tt350 for the price of one v350. BUT you get 2x the shots from a v350 and 1/2 the recycle time so thats super nice.
DO NOT BUY THE v350!!!! I bought this and the same day I received it the tiny plastic cheap little fins that hold it into the hotshoe snapped off. eBay seller is no longer on line so I couldn’t return it Threw it into the trash and bought something different. What a massive waste of time and money. JUNK.
Considering this post is 2 years old and this is the first complaint I see on it, I’d say you just got scammed on eBay with a known defective unit. :)
