Canon to announce at least five new RF mount lenses next week

Canon is expected to announce five new RF Mount lenses for their EOS R mirrorless camera system very soon, according to reports. Nokishita posted small images of five new lenses expected in the announcement, and Canon Rumors believes that announcement will be coming as soon as next week. They also believe that there may be as many 8 lenses announced in total.
So, far, the lenses that have been mentioned include…
Canon RF 15-35mm f/2.8L IS USM
Canon RF 24-70mm f/2.8 L IS USM
Canon RF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS USM
Canon RF 24-240mm f/4-6.3 IS USM
Canon RF 85mm f/1.2 L USM
Obviously, there’s no word on prices, and until something is officially announced, this is all still rumour and speculation. But the fact that images have been leaked suggests they are almost certainly on the way rather soon.
These lenses should help to round out Canon’s RF mount line nicely. And given that it includes the “Holy Trinity” of f/2.8 pro zooms and an 85mm f/1.2, it suggests that we might actually see a pro model EOS R body very soon, too.

All five of them huge. So what’s the point to go mirrorless?
Вергунов, you must be joking? First off, the new 70-200 f2.8 will most likely be the smallest and lightest of its kind ever made for FF… and these are L-grade highest quality that costs and weighs because physics and the fact that many many people care more about quality than size/weight.
And you also failed to notice the small and light 24-240mm zoom.
And who said size and weight are the only benefits of mirrorless?
I don’t use zooms, sorry.
I don’t think any of them are big for what they are, especially The 85mm f1.2 and the 70-200mm f2.8. You must just be repeating what you heard 5 years ago about mirrorless.
That 70-200 blows my mind!
While I have my reasons to stay away from zooms moving forward, they seem to be kicking ass on the glass front. I doubt the pricing will be friendly though.
But really eager to see what the new RP will be.
That 70-200 is enough to force me to consider the Canon RF system.
No point buying lenses until canon come out with something that can blow the sony a7iii out of the water.
