As important as the shoot itself is, as well as post-production, an oft-overlooked aspect of shooting an image is the pre-production. Specifically, the process of creating the set upon which the model will be posing for the entirety of the shoot.
Today though, we get a behind-the-scenes look at what exactly it takes to set up a scene for one of the best in the business, Vogue.
The time-lapse was captured by Jason Beaucourt on behalf of Mary Howard Studio. In it, we get to see the set created inside The Pierre Hotel for photographer Steven Klein.
As you might come to expect from Vogue, the setup was rather elaborate. Throughout the time-lapse we see carved ice blocks and dry ice laid out, tweaked and taken down inside a ballroom for the on-site studio.
