There are certainly several ways to find models for your photography project. But Los Angeles-based photographers Neil Kremer and Cory Johnson (KremerJohnson) decided to use Craigslist, which turned out to be more than successful. Their simple Craigslist ad has attracted hundreds of responses and turned into a pretty big project that’s still ongoing. It captures people of “all shapes, races, genders and sizes” and shows the true beauty that lies in diversity.
Mark Aragon, staff photographer of Jackson-Winkeljohn, was recently ban from covering UFC fights. On December 30, 2017, Aragon covered a fight between Holly Holm of Jackson-Winkeljohn and Cris Cyborg. After the fight, he posted a photo of Cyborg to his Instagram, calling her a “dude” and referring to her as a male. The post resulted in a public backlash, and it eventually got UFC to pull Aragon’s media credentials for future fights.

British photographer Tim Flach traveled the world for almost two years and captured endangered animals in close, intimate portraits. His project titled Endangered took him across the globe for almost two years while he photographed the animals that may soon disappear forever. You will have heard of some of them and seen their photos, but most of them are not so widely known. Still, all of them are beautiful and unique, and Tim captured their personalities and all their beauty in his images.
Tim shared some details about this series as well as the challenges that followed this ambitious project. It was an incredible journey for him as an artist, and he says it has changed him forever. I am sure you will enjoy his amazing images, even though they might even bring tears to your eyes.
Google Pixel 2 is currently taking the first place on DxO’s list of best-rated smartphone cameras. It’s a single-lens camera, yet it offers the Portrait mode on both rear and front camera. Photographer and scientist Carl Størmer (1874 – 1957) had an unusual and controversial hobby at the time. He was only nineteen years old when he walked around Oslo with a spy camera hidden underneath his vest.
