Peak Design is back with some new camera gear, and this time it’s leaning into simplicity. The San Francisco-based company has unveiled its new Form Strap series, which is a lineup of minimalist, fixed-length camera straps available in rope and leather. Alongside them comes the Field Plate, the Peak Design camera plate redesigned so that now you don’t need to use a tool to tighten or loosen it (hurrah!).
Both products are a clear nod to Peak Design’s “minimalist but better” philosophy. The Form straps refine the brand’s well-loved Anchor Link system into its most streamlined form yet, while the Field Plate brings a thumb-driven screw that makes mounting a camera much faster.

The Form Straps: Refined and Minimal
The Form series takes Peak Design’s well-known Anchor Link system and wraps it in a more minimal design. Instead of bulky connectors or visible stitching, the hardware is integrated directly into the strap ends. The result is a flat, clean connection that still supports up to 200 lbs, which should cover just about any camera setup.

You can choose between two materials:
- Form Rope Straps: Made from a custom blend of braided nylon and polyester. They’re designed to balance strength, stretch, and comfort, finished with glass-reinforced nylon housings.
- Form Leather Straps: Crafted from ECCO full-grain leather with machined aluminum hardware and a sealed underside for a smooth glide and just enough grip.

Both come in fixed-length neck and cross-body versions, available in small, medium, and large sizes. The color options are:

- Rope: Black, Kelp, Ocean
- Leather: Black, Amber, Tan

To round out the lineup, there are matching Cuff Leather and Cuff Rope wrist straps. These feature a one-size-fits-all, quick-cinching design and come in the same materials and colorways as the main straps.

The Field Plate: Mounting Made Simple

Peak Design is also introducing the Field Plate, a new camera baseplate that skips the usual tools entirely. Instead of using a coin, key, or fold-out D-ring, the Field Plate has a pop-up thumb screw that deploys with a press. You twist it to tighten or loosen, then press again to stow it flat.

It’s fully compatible with Peak Design’s tripods, Capture clips, straps, and most Arca-type heads. The design keeps the brand’s familiar slim profile while making it easier to mount or remove your camera on the go.
