ColorPro Awards has announced the winners of its 5th contest, and they are nothing short of spectacular. This year, other than photography, the competition also includes AI-generated images, showing us that these are more and more difficult to distinguish from photography.
Organized by ViewSonic Corp., this year’s competition explored the theme “Momentum,” drawing a record-breaking 10,461 entries from over 100 countries. Through photography, videography, and digital art, artists brought movement to life, diving into physical, emotional, and symbolic dimensions.
Thomas Müller, Vice President of Marketing & Sales West Europe at ViewSonic, summarized the spirit of the competition perfectly: “The 5th ColorPro Awards celebrates the essence of creativity—evolution, energy, and transformation.”
Award-winning photography
In the Photography category, Wormhole from Chile earned the top spot. This mesmerizing underwater image portrays a diver encircled by a school of fish, creating a visual metaphor for life’s unending flow. Second place went to Hüseyin Karahan for Swimming Race, a breathtaking aerial shot emphasizing the power of human determination amid synchronized athleticism. Riders of the Volcano BY Mahdndra Bakle from India secured third place, juxtaposing the cultural traditions of the Horsemen of Bromo with the misty grandeur of Mount Bromo.

Videography award: motion meets emotion
In Videography, the winner is Serageldin Abouibrahim with Essence of Colors. This poignant short film captures the journey of self-discovery, underscored by bursts of creative liberation.
Digital and generated art
The Digital Art category was led by António Montanha with The Lovers, a vibrant piece featuring a dragonfly poised near a hibiscus flower. Indonesia’s Gilang Ramadhan won the People’s Choice Award in the Generated Art category with Big Waves in a Calm Sea

Judges this year were deeply moved by the narratives of resilience, energy, and transformation woven throughout the submissions. The contest awards both traditional and digital media, including AI-generated art.
