If you don’t like winter, there are photos and videos that can remind you how magical it can be. Well, this timelapse from Another Perspective is one of them. It shows snowflakes melting but in reverse. This way, it looks like their beautiful, unique shapes are formed right before your eyes.

The video shows the timelapse of snowflakes melting in reverse from up close, but there are also some gorgeous still images. All of it was taken with relatively modest gear: Sony a6300, a Sony 90mm macro lens, and Laowa 60mm f/2.8 macro lens. Still, the results are gorgeous and the timelapse is very calming to watch.

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve enjoyed watching snowflakes melting as they land on my hair or clothes. This 32-year-old kid still finds magic in it, and somehow it looks even more magical when melted snowflakes get back to their original form. That’s why enjoyed this timelapse very much, and I hope you will, too.
