Photography accessories company Moment is confirming their presence in the camera bag market by launching another travel camera backpack. This time around they have paired up with travel photographer Emmett Sparling to create the 35L Day Chaser Backpack.
Sparling says that he spent 5 years travelling with every type of camera bag possible, and was increasingly frustrated by the options available. They were either traditional bags that locked you into a pre-set configuration, and often didn’t protect your gear very well. So he teamed up with Moment to create one that fitted his vision.
“It includes unlimited configurations so you can pack anything (cameras, clothes, water, etc) in any combination you want. While leaving room for the daily essentials you need when travelling,” according to the Kickstarter page.
The backpack uses military-style harness features to ensure that it is comfortable and weight balanced, even when completely full. It also promises to fit all heights and genders equally.
It also features a fully padded side sleeve that fits a 16-inch laptop and 16 litres of camera gear space. The camera compartment has moveable padded sections that are completely customisable.
This is Moment’s second collaboration with a photographer to create a camera backpack. Previously they entered the market with the Moment Strohl Mountain Light, a great adventure backpack collaboration with Alex Strohl.
The backpack is now fully funded on Kickstarter and will be shipping by January 2023. Prices start at $199.
As always, please use your common sense when backing Kickstarter projects. DIYP has no affiliation with them, we just highlight cool-looking products.
