The Guggenheim Museum has a real treat for all art lovers and book worms. They have released an online library containing over 200 art books, both modern and historic. You can find the works about the art and artists from various fields, and of course – this includes some photography books as well.

Many of these books first appeared in the online archive in 2012. Over the years, the collection has grown, and there are now over 200 books available for online reading or download in PDF or ePub format. The library’s description reads: “As a vital part of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation’s mission as an educational institution, the Guggenheim Museum’s Publications Department publishes books and catalogues to document its exhibitions and collections.” There are several exhibition catalogs and books about the museum itself, but most of the books are about artists of all genres.

You can search for a certain artist, type of art, genre or country. There are several books on photography, but you can also find interesting the books about other kinds of art and artists. If you love art, you’ll certainly find lots of inspiration and good stuff for reading. And hopefully, this collection will continue to grow and provide us with many more art books over the years.
