The Evolution of Cameras and Portraits in 11 Images

We’ve all seen photos from the early days of photography, and we all know how far imaging technology has come over the years, but how did we go from long-exposure self-portraits to instant selfies?
In this video we are taken on a historical journey with COOPH photographer Leo Rosas through the evolution of cameras and portraits.
Using one model and a whole lot of Photoshop, Leo recreated eleven essential milestones in photographic history.
“We wanted to show how the evolution of the camera has directly influenced portraits, so using the same model and the help of Photoshop, we recreated 11 key moments in camera history. It was a super fun shoot, and we hope it will be a nice trip down memory lane for older photographers!” Leo told DIYP.

My hat’s off to Leo for these awesome photos and Photoshop skills, but I’d love to see each of these photos taken with the actual camera.
I’d say it’s safe to assume that Leo doesn’t have these cameras lying around his studio, but that’s nothing a quick visit to Kodak’s Technology vault can’t fix!
You can see more from Leo (Facebook / Instagram) and COOPH (Facebook / Instagram / Twitter) on social media.

I would like to know where they got a disposable that embedded dates in the photographs.
(Oops….)
I just hate everything about this. We’re all camera geeks here, save this for Buzzfeed.
