The new Nikon Zf Silver is here – a new (and may I add, gorgeous) twist on Nikon’s retro-inspired mirrorless camera. There’s now silver metal finish paired with seven vintage-inspired colors, but the specs, of course, aren’t retro. The camera keeps the high-performance internals that made the original Zf such a hit among enthusiasts and pros alike.
Modern Features in a Vintage Shell
With the Nikon Zf Silver, the company wanted to evoke the spirit of Nikon’s classic film cameras with a premium metal finish. But while the exterior gets a bold refresh, Nikon made a smart decision to keep the internals untouched.
Under the hood, the Zf Silver houses a 24.5MP full-frame BSI-CMOS sensor powered by Nikon’s EXPEED 7 image processor, allowing burst shooting up to 30 fps.
Its 273-point hybrid autofocus system is intelligent enough to track up to nine different subjects, from people and pets to vehicles and aircraft. Plus, with –10 EV detection and 8-stop image stabilization, this camera is designed to keep up when the light goes down or the action heats up.
You’ll get creative freedom with built-in Picture Controls and seamless workflow via the Nikon Imaging Cloud, where you can upload and share custom looks. This camera isn’t just powerful – it’s also a highly customizable creative tool.
With support for 4K/60p 10-bit video, N-Log, HLG, and SDR, the Nikon Zf Silver easily doubles as a compact cine rig. You can shoot for over two hours straight with no overheating.
