This hilarious short film is everybody who’s ever pre-ordered a newly announced camera

This video is one of the funniest things I’ve seen so far this year. It begins as a somewhat sombre and dramatic piece. Immediately you can feel the mood of the story, the sense of anxiety and worry felt by the protagonist. Although, that sense soon turns to amusement when we realise what it is she’s concerned about.
Letter, pt. II was created by Minnesota based SkyVista Productions to test the capabilities of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K. As the name suggests, it’s a sequel to Letter, although this one has a much more amusing twist. If you’ve ever pre-ordered a camera or other piece of kit and found yourself sitting at some unknown position in the waiting list, you know exactly how the lady in the above film feels.
Ever since its initial announcement, the Pocket 4K has been in-demand. And while pre-orders did start shipping out on time back in September 2018, there’s still a waiting list from most retailers in many parts of the world if you order one today. In fact, it’s still listed as a pre-order on the B&H website.
Blackmagic announced this camera in April of last year. And I was expecting it in october and now… here we are. I’m never gonna order from B&H again.
Even if we’ve never pre-ordered kit ourselves, many of us know people who have. People who’ve acted like it’s the end of the world when it hasn’t arrived within 5 minutes of the official release date. And when it comes to the Pocket 4K I’ve seen people like this every day in several Blackmagic groups for the last few months.
I don’t deal well with pre-order waiting times. So, while I do plan to get the Pocket 4K, I’ll wait until they become a bit more readily available.

This is awesome :-)
This is moronic. Anyone who finds this funny is warped. B&H should sue them for disparaging them for not delivering an item that was delayed by the manufacturer. Very childish.
I guess he didn’t actually watch the film. :)
Well that was a waste of three minutes!
Hilarious is quite an overstatement?
