Martin Podt was born on a farm in the eastern parts of the Netherlands. His passion for photography started around 2013, although as a child he was already taking photos with his father’s DSLR. His camera is almost always by his side, for example when he is walking or biking through the Dutch forests. Martin’s main subjects are trees, forests, and rural scenery.
It is important for him that photos express a certain mood and evoke emotions and feelings. For this reason, photos of moody, misty forests belong to his favorites. Martin has won several prizes in national and international contests, including gold medals in the Trierenberg Super Circuit 2017 and 2019. His photos have been published in both national and international magazines. He is constantly working on improving his skills. Through photography, he has gained a great appreciation for the Dutch countryside, and especially the forests in his area constitute a continuous source of inspiration for him.
Daniel Laan is a professional landscape photographer and writer based in the Netherlands. His main body of work is the mystical, moody scenes he doesn’t find in nature, but in the depths of his own mind. Nature serves as a host and a source of inspiration to materialize a painterly approach to fine-art photography. Outdoor photography has a cathartic purpose on Daniel that keeps his life in balance.
His visual style sprung from a love for Science Fiction and Fantasy films and the art found in the collectible card game Magic: The Gathering. By following his heart, his photos, articles, and tutorials are published in many magazines around the world and on even more websites. His co-authored book “Woodscapes” got published in 2020 and Daniel has two more photography books on the way already, both of which are aimed at an international audience.

Pablo Ruiz Garcia
Pablo Ruiz is a photographer based in Santander, Spain. He is passionate about landscape and night photography, traveling, and discovering new places. Pablo has always liked to observe the environment around him, and enjoy nature. “Those seconds when you don’t think about anything and just look at and enjoy a landscape.” His greatest passion is mountain landscapes, although he started out shooting coastal scenes. It wasn’t until about 6 years ago when someone had the brilliant idea of giving him his first camera as a present that he started with photography. He immediately loved it, and little by little he gained experience and training. That meant many hours behind the camera, trips to many places with various landscapes which gave him unique experiences.
Sherry purchased her first DSLR in 2008 and told herself she would learn to use her camera like a professional photographer. She chose to self teach and so her journey began, which has been a wonderful and rewarding journey of learning and learning. It is pure love for the beauty of nature that drives her to become better. Sherry thanks all those wonderful photographers who don’t even know their work inspired her to learn. “Still learning always learning and loving every moment because it draws me closer to nature.”
Sherry can’t really find the words to express her intense love for the beauty of nature and how grand and wonderful it is to capture its beauty so she chooses to share the words of William Hazlitt. “We do not see nature with our eyes, but with our understandings and our hearts.” A deeper meaning to his thoughts is; The first way we see nature is with our eyes. Then, we must take it deeper into ourselves. It becomes a part of our very thoughts and our very being. When you connect with nature, you open a path to your heart. That relationship becomes vital to you like any other relationship in life. For Sherry landscape photography has become a vital relationship of love and the constant awe of nature’s symphonic beauty.
Thomas de Franzoni
Thomas is an Italian fine art photographer based in Friuli V.G. He started with photography in 2014. He approached photography due to his passion for nature and wild animals, especially birds since there is a nature reserve close to his house rich in many species of birds. Subsequently, he became more and more interested in landscape photography. He mainly loves the landscapes of the Dolomites, the mountain lakes framed by autumn colors, the sinuous hills of Tuscany, the woodlands covered by fog, and the picturesque churches of Slovenia. He has always been dedicated to finding his own style in processing photos since he believes it is essential to give an atmosphere and his own taste to what he captures with the camera.
Michael has spent the past twenty years photographing throughout the Pacific Northwest and the desert Southwest of the United States. Becoming a photographer was the natural result of many years spent exploring the natural world through backpacking, travel, and mountaineering. Michael’s photography focuses on capturing his experiences than turning them into art. He prefers to practice reactive photography wherein he moves through a natural area without a preconceived image in mind, then waits for visual inputs to inspire an idea for an image. He then photographs this idea. Michael finds this form of interactive photography personally rewarding as it more fully immerses him in the creative process and the incredible nature around him. Michael lives with his wife and son in Portland, Oregon.
Nakul Sharma is a traveler and photographer by profession, born and brought up in New Delhi. He grew up infected by the travel bug and spends most of his time in traveling and photography. He is living his dreams of traveling with his camera that allows him to capture the hidden and the most astonishing beauties of the world. Nakul believes in sharing his travel experiences and explorations through his photos. For him in every photo there is a story to narrate; it must convey a strong message to the viewers.
“I love to encourage the young generation to travel and live beyond their dreams. I always try to bring the world closer to the people through my Lens and travel stories.” He has been traveling around the world since 2015 capturing unique stories. “I believe the only difference between the photographer and common man is the way to see the world, an eye to see the beauty beyond normal things and expand the belief of what is possible.”
Roberto Pavic is an award-winning photographer who was born in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1979. Roberto started out using the camera to document his private life. But when he combined some of his great passions, traveling, and photography, he started to create his own vision of the world. Because there is nothing better than waking up early in the morning, alone at some lake or in front of a huge mountain. To photograph all that is quiet and calm surroundings; mountains, forests, rivers, and lakes became his new “targets”.
His favorite places are Iceland, Dolomites, and Norway. Due to the current situation, though, he started to increasingly explore less famous Croatian places. His photographic style is characterized by dramatic landscape photos because he wants the viewer to feel the atmosphere when she/he sees his photo. Besides landscape photography, he is very successful as a concert photographer, which is something completely different. Instead of peaceful mornings, he chooses nights at crowded shows with aggressive music. Many world-famous bands have published his work.
Mikkel is 32 years old and has the past ten years been living in Copenhagen, Denmark. He works full time as an IT Coordinator in a small IT company. Mikkel picked up his first DSLR camera around 2007. It was a Canon EOS 1000d which he used for jobs covering the Danish nightlife, taking photos of people partying around in the nightclubs of Copenhagen. He did this a year or two during the weekends while studying to become an IT Technician. After a while, Mikkel lost interest in partying and taking pictures, so he placed the camera on the shelf for some years.
In 2013, he decided to volunteer on an environmental project out in the bush in Botswana where he stayed for 2 months. He brought his camera for the trip. Now he had a Canon EOS 7d. Mikkel took a lot of wildlife images and also random landscape photos. Nothing extraordinary, but his interest in nature photography was kindled. In 2016 he went to Lofoten in Northern Norway with his little brother and their father. For this trip, he had researched a lot about landscape photography, that is, how to do long exposures, plan for the light on locations, using filters, and so on. “So the goal for this trip was to visit the area and come back with some beautiful landscape photos, but it created a fire inside me and I have been in love with landscape photography ever since!” Today, he works with Sony Nordic as a Sony Alpha Pro Artisan, and his free time and holidays are often spent traveling to the Nordic regions of Europe to capture the gorgeous Nordic landscape.
Each of the photographers has written a few words about themselves. All images are shared with permission.
