GrumInstagram doesn’t officially support uploads from third-party apps, but that hasn’t stopped developers from trying. The latest effort is Grum, a web app that lets you organize, schedule and upload images to Instagram, right from your computer.

Like many apps before it, there’s a chance Grum could get shut down by Instagram at any moment. However, according to its creator, Ivan Grumov, Grum isn’t violating Instagram’s terms of use by cleverly utilizing ‘a clause saying that posts must be initiated by an Instagram user.’

Grum1Pricing isn’t shown until after signing up (never a good move), but we’ll save you the trouble and let you know it costs $3.95/month for each Instagram account you want to access. For advertising agencies and other companies needing multiple accounts, prices drop when you sign up for three or more accounts.

Grum2Using Grum’s three day trial, I tested the waters and it appears that everything is functioning flawlessly. Simply click ‘Add Photo’, choose your photo from the dialog box, edit the photo using Grum’s built-in tools, add a caption if you so please and choose whether to post it now or schedule it for a later date.

It’s not the first service to let you post to Instagram straight from your computer, but it seems like one of the most viable options out there. Not to mention the interface is simple and straightforward.

Head on over to Grub to sign up and take it for a spin.
