When you reach a certain age, all your friends will start having babies. And of course, all of them will start sharing gazillions of their images on Facebook. Okay, babies are cute (sometimes), but that’s just too many baby photos at the same time! If your News Feed is swarmed by baby photos – there’s now a plugin that lets you block them.
The Baby Blocker was launched by condom company SKYN, which is a pretty awesome marketing trick if you ask me. It’s advertised as “your social media contraceptive,” which hides all baby photos from your Facebook Feed. But what’s even better, it doesn’t just block them; it replaces them with “things you actually like.” The plugin lets you track how many photos you’ve blocked in real-time. And if you feel like looking at baby photos again, you can always turn it off.
In case you want to replace baby photos with photos of animals, cars, food, or whatever else you like, The Baby Blocker is available in Chrome Web Store. Considering that most of my friends are getting married and having babies, hmmm, I think I’m gonna install it. Although, it probably means I won’t be able to stumble upon disturbingly funny content like these babies with teeth. But oh well, you win some, you lose some, right?
