Photographer reveals public and private personalities of celebrities in the series of double portraits

We all imagine our favorite celebrities in a certain way. But what we see is the picture they create for the public, and it’s perfectly normal. But a Shutterstock staff photographer Andrew H. Walker reveals the different sides of their personalities. He created a series of double portraits which show that our favorite celebrities may not be as we imagine them.

Andrew attended Toronto International Film Festival this year where he was to take the portraits of stars. But he did something different which resulted in a very interesting series of portraits. He set up the studio and as the stars came for a photo, he asked them to show two sides of themselves. Their public persona and the one they keep private. And here are the results:

Apart from being simply wonderful, the portraits Andrew took carry a strong message as well. None of us has only one side of our personality. And we all sometimes hide behind the persona we’ve created for the public. So why would the celebrities be different?

You can see more of the Andrew’s project here, and his other work here.
