Loupedeck releases massive V5.0 software update for Loupedeck Live and CT consoles

Loupedeck has released a new Version 5.0 update for its Loupedeck CT and Loupedeck Live consoles that brings with it a new user interface, native integration for vMix, a plug-in for Ecamm and upgraded macOS integration for Capture One. There’s also a new cut down “Simplified Profile” designed specifically for live streamers who don’t always need the advanced functionality the devices offer.

The newly redesigned software interface provides more intuitive control over how you customise your Loupedeck Live or CT device with easier navigation of workspaces and pages. New notifications let you know about app connection status and you get easier account linking for plugins that require authentication.

The new streamlined look of the software is to allow for easier configuration of the device. If you’re like me, your Loupedeck CT (or Loupedeck Live) sits on your desk all the time and any time you find yourself performing a new task regularly in a piece of software or install a new piece of software that has a lot of keyboard shortcuts, you want to tie it into your Loupedeck device. Now, that task has become easier and quicker.

The Simplified Profile view eliminates workspaces providing 8 pages of buttons that frees actions from being tied to a specific application. Turning dynamic mode off means that you still have access to them even as you switch software. All actions and plug-ins are available in the actions panel on the right and you can filter them to find the ones you want more easily.

The new software also adds functionality and compatibility with new applications. There’s upgraded integration for Capture One on macOS, a new native integration for vMix on Windows and a plugin for Ecamm on the Mac. An updated plugin for Lightroom Classic has also become available to ensure compatibility with the new masking engine, recently announced at Adobe MAX.

And for you coders, the Loupedeck SDK for developers has also been updated with the new version 5 software release. This enables 3rd party developers to create additional plugins for the Loupedeck CT and Loupedeck Live consoles so that users don’t need to rely on mapping simple keyboard shortcuts for non-native software.

If you’re running a Loupedeck Live or Loupedeck CT, then head on over to the Loupedeck website and download Loupedeck Software 5.0.
