Fujifilm INSTAX Mini 13 Announced, Finally Adding a Self-Timer

Fujifilm has introduced the new INSTAX Mini 13, a new instant camera designed to keep things simple and fun. It uses the familiar INSTAX Mini film format and emphasizes point-and-shoot ease over manual control. Let’s see what it brings to the table.
The camera features a 60mm f/12.7 lens with fixed focus, so there’s nothing to adjust; it’s a simple point and shoot. Exposure is fully automatic, with shutter speeds ranging from 1/2 to 1/250 second. A built-in flash fires automatically and covers a range of up to 2.2 meters, making it suitable for indoor and low-light shots.
One notable addition compared to earlier INSTAX Mini models is that it finally has a self-timer, offering both 2- and 10-second options. This makes group shots and self-portraits a bit easier. Wait til I tell my partner, who tried to hack his older Instax with a timer we bought on AliExpress.
Anyhow, the Instax Mini 13 keeps the rest of the experience straightforward, with an optical viewfinder, no app connectivity, and power supplied by two AA batteries. It weighs just 327 grams, so it’s easy to carry around.
