Christmas is only 11 days away, and some of us might have not actually managed to make it out to buy presents yet. Perhaps you didn’t want to deal with the rush of people in the city centre. Were the prices not as low as you’d have liked online? Or maybe you’re just worried that the busy season is going to cause shipping delays that mean the presents don’t arrive in time.

Well, worry no more. The Cooperative of Photography is here to help, with some last minute gift ideas for the photographer in your life.

All pretty simple DIY projects that can be whipped up in no time.

  1. Personalised smartphone case
  2. Vintage bookends (or bookeh-ends)
  3. DIY photo clock
  4. Seasonal bokeh
  5. Floating hooks

  1. Tree decorations
  2. Polaroid Frame
  3. Snow Globe
  4. COOPH challenge

I think for #5, I’d probably be using a 1/4-20″ bolt into the tripod mount rather than permanently welding them onto the bracket myself. That way, I’d still have the option of easily taking them off the wall and going out and shooting them. But, maybe that’s just me.

Even if you wouldn’t make these to give away yourself, they could be great projects to make with the kids for mum or dad photographer.

Have you made any of these projects in the past? How did they turn out? What DIY photography gifts are you giving away this year? Let us know in the comments.

I don’t see Bulk roll of Ilford or Kodak B&W film.

Hah, great idea. I’d love a bulk roll of FP4+ for Christmas if anybody’s listening. ;)

I have a DIY lens-shaped wall clock. My boyfriend and I made it, but used plywood instead of cardboard. :)
