I love photographing animals in the studio, and I’m obviously not the only one. When actor and photographer Josell Mariano was asked to look after his friend’s cat, Jade, for whom an Instagram account has now been created, Mariano decided to go a little… “extra”.
With a full-on photo shoot, Mariano recreated a cheesy 80s style portrait session. Yes, with a cat. And the results are both hilarious and amazing.
One user on Reddit, by the name of The_Phantom_Fap decided that it didn’t have quite enough lasers to truly qualify as an 80s style photo shoot. So, they decided to add some.
I think I might have to start doing this when friends ask me to babysit their pets while they’re away.

Ha! I pet sit on the side and I recently sat for a person who didn’t know I was a photographer. I sent her daily photos and she was like “your photos are amazing! You should do this professionally!” I responded “I do”. ?
mine were not nearly this extra though ?
Those are great shots! I have two black cats that in addition to ‘swallow’ every available light, due to their black color, also never sit for my camera. Great job!
