Chinese lens manufacturer TTArtisan has just announced a super-fast and gorgeous-looking lens for Leica M-mount cameras. The 50mm f/0.95 lens comes in beautiful red color, and it will be available in only 500 pieces worldwide.
Another fast fifty? – The TTartisan 50mm f/1.2 review
by 1 Comment2020 finally seems to be coming to an end! And let’s be honest here – This hasn’t exactly been the coolest year in recent history. But right before we close shop and welcome, a hopefully improved, 2021, a Chinese lens manufacturer apparently decided that we needed something cool to play with for our APSC cameras!
On December 18th, TTartisan announced the immediate availability of their new offering, the 50mm f/1.2. I was fortunate enough to try out the lens for about 3 weeks prior to release, and I thought I wanted to share my experiences with you here. But do we really need yet another fifty? Well, this lens does bring a couple of nice things to the table, including a ridiculously low price point at just 98$USD, so let’s have a closer look at it.
TTArtisan 50mm f/1.2 is a $98 fast prime for APS-C cameras
by 1 CommentChinese lens manufacturer TTArtisan is known for very affordable lenses with a good price-quality ratio. The company has just released a fast 50mm f/1.2 lens for APS-C cameras. Since it costs only $98, I guess we could call this one a “thrifty-fifty.”
TTArtisan is making a 50mm f/0.95 lens for Sony & Fuji – but it’s limited to only 20 units of each
by Leave a CommentIt’s not that often you see limited edition lenses these days, except with the likes of Leica. Even then, it’s usually just a limited edition colour of an already existing lens (or to launch a new one). TTArtisan, however, is making a very limited edition 50mm f/0.95 for the Sony E and Fujifilm X mounts. Only 20 will be produced for each mount.
TTArtisan hasn’t made an official announcement about the lens that I’ve seen yet, but it’s shown up on the website of Japanese distributor Shoten Kobo. It is a manual focus lens offering about a field of view equivalent to about a 75mm lens on a full-frame body. And the price? Well, it’ll only be around $400.
The TTArtisan 11mm f/2.8 fisheye lens is now available for Leica L mount
by 2 CommentsThe TTArtisan 11mm f/2.8 manual focus Fisheye lens has been out for a couple of months now for Leica M mounts, priced at around $369. Now it’s also available for the Leica L mount (for around $250!) meaning you can use it with your full-frame Panasonic and Sigma cameras, too. The specs for the L mount lens are essentially the same as for the Leica M mount version, except it weighs a little more.
