The eighth annual Nature inFocus Photography Awards have announced the winners for the year 2022. With more submissions every year, the judges had a difficult task choosing the winning images. But hey, it has to be done – and we bring you the best of the best for 2022. And just like last year, you’ll see the colors, beauty, and drama of the natural world around us.
This year’s contest received around 21,000 images from more than 2,300 photographers from all over the world. Other than the six previously established categories, a new one was introduced this year: Photographer Of The Year – Portfolio. The first-ever winner of this new prize is Fernando Constantino Martinez Belmar, a wildlife and conservation photographer from Mexico.

Since there were so many submissions, the jury wanted to increase the number of recognitions. So, every category had three winners instead of just one, plus special jury selection on top of that. Take a look at the selection of winning images below, and make sure to visit Nature inFocus Photography Awards’ website for full gallery and more information.
