Benro is introducing a new line of tripods – System Go Plus. It is a tripod system that finally adds a shifting center column to the Benro kits. At TPS 2016 we had a chat with Mark Hoskins – Brand Manager for Benro to  see this new tripod in action.

Interview with Photoshop contender, Affinity – iPad pro, Windows, demos and future plans

Photoshop contender, Affinity Photo, made a big splash about two weeks ago when they announced that they are rolling out a windows Beta, effectively more than doubling their potential market.

We caught up with Affinity managing director Ashley Hewson at the UK Photography show (full TPS report here) to talk about Affinity’s future plans, their Windows Beta and how they will integrate with the iPad Pro. Hit the jump for a quick summary and some of my thoughts.

Interview with Elinchrom’s President – New Skyport+ trigger and Godox battery pack

Last week Elinchrom made two announcements: one was about a new EL Skyport+ trigger and one about starting to sell the Godox battery pack inverter.

We find both announcements interesting. We caught up with Christopher Whittle, Elinchrom’s president at the Photography show and asked about those. See the interview above, and some of my thoughts after the jump.

Interview with IRIX – new 15mm f/2.4 lens makers (11mm, 4.0 is coming soon)

There is a new lens player in town – IRIX, looks like they are there to compete with Rokinon, Sigma and other prime lens makers. Their first lens is a 15mm f/2.4 full frame prime, and it looks delicious.

We had a chat with the European branch of IRIX a few days ago in the UK Photography show and we are impressed.

As well as his creative visual work, John uses 3D printing, electronics and programming to create his own photography and filmmaking tools and consults for a number of brands across the industry.

Dunja Djudjic: from diyphotography.netDunja Djudjic is a multi-talented artist based in Novi Sad, Serbia. With 15 years of experience as a photographer, she specializes in capturing the beauty of nature, travel, and fine art. In addition to her photography, Dunja also expresses her creativity through writing, embroidery, and jewelry making.
