The Vimo Q is a new 4-channel wireless mic system by Comica

Comica recently announced the Vimo Q, their latest installment in the Vimo lineup. It’s a four-channel wireless lavalier microphone system for $249. Most wireless microphone systems only use two transmitters and are limited to recording two people. It’s interesting to see the Vimo Q with support for recording up to four people.

The Comica Vimo Q will feature 48kHz/24bit recording and their new CalMix audio processing technology. It has a low audio delay of under 20ms and a transmission distance of up to 200 meters. Overall, it’s pretty impressive, so let’s take a closer look.

The Hobolite LiteDock is a power solution for the stylish photographer

Do you not like dangling batteries? Do you hate the idea of getting a camera cage just to mount a bigger battery? It seems Hobolite feels the same as they made a solution for you. The Hobolite LiteDock ($169) is a USB-C battery grip with a built-in 3450mAh Li-ion battery. Oh, and it’s really stylish, too – definitely fancier than using standard power banks for your LED lights.

Think Tank new cable management pouches are tidy and compact

Think Tank released a new version of their popular cable management pouches. They go from $19.75 for the smallest one to $32.75 for the biggest version. Like the previous generation, each pouch has clear front and back panels, making finding your gear easy. The pouches also have the added benefit of showing off your equipment and organization skills all at the same time!

The cable management pouches have a wide top zipper opening for easy access and back-pocket mesh organizer slots for… well, organization. The pouches are designed with practicality in mind. They also feature handles, so you can easily grab them.

Nanlite PavoSlim are the thinnest LED panels we’ve ever seen

Nanlite just launched the first batch of their PavoSlim series. We have first seen the PavoSlim at IBC 2023, and we are excited to see them coming to market.

The PavoSlim 60: Two 30cm x 30cm, 72-watt lights, and PavoSlim 120, two 60cm x 30cm 150-watt lights. Both the PavoSlim 60 and PavoSlim 120 come in flavors, A “B” flavor for bi-color lights, and a “C” flavor for RGBWW lights. Those four lights in total: PavoSlim 60B ($399), PavoSlim 60C ($599), PavoSlim 120B ($599), and PavoSlim 120C ($799)

SmallRig launches the RC60B a compact video light for creators with a built-in battery

SmallRig announced a new light in IBC 2023 – the SmallRig RC60B. The RC60B ($199 on Amazon or B&H) is a small yet effective video light. It packs 60 watts of power in a body smaller than a RED Komodo, and it has a built-in battery, no less!

The SmallRig RC60B is the latest member of the Smallrig’s RC video lights lineup, and it’s an affordable and compact alternative to their more powerful lights like the SmallRig RC220 or SmallRig RC450.

Hollyland Mars M1 Enhanced is an advanced 150 meter, wireless monitor

Hollyland announced the Mars M1 Enhanced, their latest 4k wireless video transceiver monitor. It can receive up to 4k footage from 150 meters away, and it will be available soon for 499$. It’s nice to see the progress Hollyland has made since releasing the Mars 300, and this monitor puts them more in competition with monitors like the Atomos Ninja Ultra and the DJI monitor.

The Hollyland Mars M1 Enhanced is their replacement for the original Mars M1. It has a 5.5” monitor and is compatible with Mars 4k, 300 Pro, and 400 Pro components. You can also monitor it via the HollyView app which is available for iOS and Android devices.

The 7Artisans 9mm f/5.6 is the widest full-frame budget lens yet

Here are some good news for fans of wide-angle lens, 7Artisans just launched their new full-frame 7Artisans 9mm f/5.6 lens. The lens costs 479$ and is available for the Nikon-z, Canon-RF, Sony-E, and Leica-L mounts. Oh, and here are some even better news, the lens is rectilinear. Meaning? it’s not a fish-eye lens.

The 7Artisans 9mm f/5.6 is a non-fish-eye full-frame lens. Yes, full-frame. Ultra wide-angle lenses that actually cover a full-frame sensor are few and far between. The last one in recent memory is the Laowa 9mm F5.6, which costs 799$. It is nearly twice as much as the budget-friendly 7Artisans one.
