DIYPhotography – Your one stop shop for everything photo and video / Forums / Photo Sharing & Critique / Welcome to Photo Sharing & Critique!
This is the place to show off your work, get feedback, ask questions, test ideas, and see what other people are creating.
Got a portrait you are proud of? Post it. Tried a new lighting setup and not sure if it is working? Post it. Been staring at the same edit for three hours and can no longer tell if you have created art or a complete disaster? Definitely post it.
The whole point of this section is to share photos and get useful critique. That does not mean everybody has to tear each other to pieces for sport. If you are giving feedback, try to make it constructive. If you are asking for feedback, try to be open to hearing it. “Nice shot” is fine, but explaining why something works, or what could make it stronger, is a lot more useful.
A quick note before you post: images currently must be hosted elsewhere and linked in your post. We’re working on it, though. Native image uploads are not quite ready yet, but they are coming soon. For now, just use your preferred image host and drop the image or link into your thread.
A few sensible guidelines:
Other than that, have at it.
Post your photos, share your ideas, and let’s see what you’ve been shooting.
