Encountering wild animals as you photograph them can sometimes be scary. But other times, it can be so cute that it makes your heart melt. Swiss photographer Stefan Forster recently found a wild white arctic fox in Greenland. As he was taking photos, the fox approached him and started closely examining his camera. Maybe even a bit too closely!

The adorable young fox approached Stefan with caution, but still with great curiosity. He writes that it took 20 minutes and 1000 meters of hiding and crawling before the animal came close to him. And he says that he’s never seen a wild fox coming this close to a human.

When the fox approached Stefan, it started carefully sniffing him. But what I find really funny an adorable is when it started gently nibbling on his lens hood. Make sure to watch the video with the sound on, because the sound is just too darn cute.
