Panasonic has released a new roadmap for their Lumix S L Mount lenses. It shows six new lenses coming in 2021 (updating the info on lenses on the previous roadmap) and one of them – the 100mm f/2.8 macro – appears to have actually been removed from the list entirely since the previous roadmap.
The new roadmap mentions three specific prime lens focal lengths and apertures, along with three zoom lenses. Noticeably absent is the anticipated 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens shown on previous roadmaps.
- 24mm f/1.8
- 50mm f/1.8
- 85mm f/1.8
- Fast wide-angle zoom
- Standard zoom
- Telephoto zoom
Mirrorless Rumours reports that Panasonic says the 100mm f/2.8 macro is “under consideration”, but it looks like they’re no longer committing to it at this point.
The six new lenses are expected to come during 2020 and 2021, but exactly when is unclear, as are the focal length and aperture ranges of the three zoom lenses. We’ll let you know when we hear more.
