I guess it is no big secret that two of my photography passions are children photography and using small strobes. In fact, lots of images in DIYP are images of my son and daughter and were taken with off camera lighting.
This why I am so exited about two new series by two great guest authors starting this week:
Exploring Small Strobes by Yanik Chauvin and Baby’s Growth Stages Captured in Photography by Shannon Kietzman.
Exploring Small Strobes
The first series is Exploring Small Strobes by Yanik Chauvin from Yanik’s Photo School. This series will be all about small flashes and strobes. Starting with why to use a strobe in the first place (just to get you thinking) going through using off camera strobes, several lighting schemes and techniques and much more.
Yanik Chauvin is a professional photographer from Ottawa, Canada. His main focus is on stock and commercial photography. As a teacher with more than 10 years experience, he started Yanik’s Photo School as a way to give back to other passionate photographers.
Baby’s Growth Stages Captured in Photography
The second series, Baby’s Growth Stages Captured in Photography by Shannon Kietzman, is all about kids and babies (a personal favorite of mine). Starting with Maternity and going through the first years of infancy. Shannon will share tips on creating the right atmosphere, posing and lots of great ideas on taking children pictures that make you go Awwwww.
Shannon Kietzman is a successful author and blogger over at My Baby Photos . She offers some great advice for capturing special moments with your loved ones.
