Transcend, a lesser-known manufacturer of storage devices, has recently unveiled a new lineup of Industrial strength SDHC and MicroSDHC cards capable of withstanding extreme temperatures.
They’re called the Wide Temperature lineup and as their name suggests, these SDHC and MicroSD cards are meant to be pushed to the limits. How far? Transcend claims these MicroSD cards are capable of temperatures from –40ºC to 85ºC (–40ºF to 185ºF), more than enough to get that ridiculous GoPro footage.
To compliment the extreme temperature ratings, the new lineup offers built-in Error Correction Code (ECC) and S.M.A.R.T. to help detect and possibly correct any issues that may arise during transfer.
Every card in the new lineup has a Class 10 speed rating, giving transfer speeds up to 20MB per second. The cards are x-ray proof, shock proof, waterproof and static proof to boot.
You can pick up Transcend’s newest MicroSD cards in 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB variations. All cards come with a two-year limited warranty.
