Riddle me this? How to the transport an airplane for assembly? It turns out that inside another airplane. Jokes aside, looking at how a 787-9 Dreamliner is built can not leave you indifferent. This $264.6 million behemoth from Boeing is 63 meters long and has a wingspan of about 60 meters, so watching the unit being built from Lego like blocks is quite impressive.

That phase of construction that is time-lapsed is the part where putting pre-made assemblies together happens. This makes about 1000 people busy for a while.

The time lapse not only shows how the body is assembled but takes in inside the plane, under the wings and very close to the engines.

The real question is why they don’t build all the parts at the same location. The Airbus I understand because its a consortium, Boeing on the other hand is one company.

The powerplants are normally referred to as engines and not motors. Also, is a laboratory like a lavatory?
