This guy’s Halloween costume is a working DSLR camera

I thought that I can’t think of a better Halloween costume for a photographer than a huge camera. But Yohei Shimada took it to a higher level: his Halloween costume is a working Canon DSLR that takes actual photos.

Shimada goes by name @cameraaman on Twitter, where he shared a couple of photo of his costume, as well as the photos he took with it. He was actually the human-sized camera for last year’s Halloween, but the short video where he shows it off has only recently got wildly popular on Reddit.

With his brilliant costume, Shimada was taking photos of costumed people on the streets of Osaka. On his Instagram profile, you can see the photos he took and a couple of videos of people’s reactions. As you would probably expect, everyone found his costume pretty amazing. I mean, who wouldn’t?

I don’t know how many card slots Shimada’s camera has. But judging from this image, he didn’t bring enough spare batteries to last him for the evening:

Halloween is tomorrow, and if you’re gonna wear a costume, I guess you’ve already decided what you’re gonna be. But if not – you can make a costume like this, too. Check out how Bryan Troll did it via this link. Oh, and a great thing is – you can customize it so it fits the camera brand you prefer.
