One of Photoshop’s strengths is that amount of tools it packs. This is also one of its weaknesses in terms of work area clutter. Right now Photoshop lets you show or hide entire toolbars, but there is zero control over what each of the toolbars displays.

If you are also a word or Excel geek you know how Microsoft enable you to actually customize the content of each toolbar. This mean that you don’t only get to control which toolbars are visible and which are hidden, but also what buttons are displayed on each toolbar (or even create new toolbars of your own).

Photoshop always had a “we will arrange your workspace for you” kinda of vision, and only allowed you to move between workspaces (or toggle individual toolbars) via the window menu. But from a user experience point of view it makes much more sense to let users to tweak the program to their liking.

And so from the next version you will be able to add, remove and rearrange buttons on each of the different Photoshop toolbars.

This means that you can create a workspace for each of your workflows, and have a different set of buttons for web design, photo retouching and so on….

Finally you can remove that “red eye removal” tool from the tools menu!
