YouTube attempts to build positivity and reduce harassment by hiding the dislike count

Nobody likes seeing dislikes on their videos, especially for smaller YouTubers just starting out. It can be very disheartening and put you off creating any more content at all. Some videos, naturally, deserve all the dislikes they receive, but many are simply the victim of trolls and haters.

Well, YouTube’s been experimenting recently and they’ve decided that they’re going to start hiding the dislike count. Their theory is that more trolls will be less likely to click the dislike button if they can’t see how many have come before them, thus reducing the harassment many YouTubers receive.

New Samsung ads troll iPhone 12 Pro Max big time

Samsung and Apple have been major competitors when it comes to their smartphone cameras. And in its latest set of Galaxy S21 Ultra ads, Samsung decided to play dirty. The company calls out on iPhone 12 Pro Max telling the viewers that their “phone upgrade shouldn’t be a downgrade.”

50-year-old dad with FaceApp trolls everyone that he’s a beautiful biker girl

It’s not strange for a young, gorgeous biker girl to amass nearly 30 thousand followers on Twitter. But what if I told you that the girl is actually a 50-year-old dad? Yup, this man has trolled everyone using FaceApp and made my day today. And funnily enough, after he confessed his prank, it seems that his followers loved him even more!

Anyone who has ever posted their work online has faced criticism. Sadly, most of us more often deal with trolling and negativity than we do with constructive criticism. Dealing with online trolls and useless negative comments can be incredibly discouraging and stressful. It can even make you stop sharing your work. Dave Williams is an accomplished travel photographer, writer, and best-selling author from the UK. He is also a photography educator and published Aurora expert. Dave has traveled extensively in recent years, capturing stunning images from around the world in a modified van. His work has been featured in various publications and he has worked with notable brands such as Skoda, EE, Boeing, Huawei, Microsoft, BMW, Conde Nast, Electronic Arts, Discovery, BBC, The Guardian, ESPN, NBC, and many others.

John Aldred is a photographer with over 20 years of experience in the portrait and commercial worlds. He is based in Scotland and has been an early adopter - and occasional beta tester - of almost every digital imaging technology in that time. As well as his creative visual work, John uses 3D printing, electronics and programming to create his own photography and filmmaking tools and consults for a number of brands across the industry.

Dunja Djudjic is a multi-talented artist based in Novi Sad, Serbia. With 15 years of experience as a photographer, she specializes in capturing the beauty of nature, travel, and fine art. In addition to her photography, Dunja also expresses her creativity through writing, embroidery, and jewelry making.
