Landscape photography marketing is one area that photographers often find particularly hard. But if you want your photography business to grow, you have to know how to market yourself and your work.
Finding your photographic eye
by 2 CommentsWhen my wife and I first met, we spent a week together in Vancouver. One of the things that made me realise that we were so well suited to each other was that we both loved taking photos. While walking around the downtown area, it took us about an hour to cover 30 meters because we both kept stopping to take pictures of various things that we found interesting along the way.
I also soon learned that she had a much better natural eye. Over the period of an hour I could take one hundred pictures and she would take ten, and all ten of hers were better than mine. She just sees shapes and angles that I miss.

After the government discovered he’s been sharing the photos online, he was banned from crossing the North Korean border ever again. Still, his photos remain to witness the stories beyond the façade, and he has shared some of them with us.

Photographer captures illegal mammoth tusk hunting in a striking photo series
by 4 CommentsSometimes, photos tell incredible stories you find hard to believe. A Radio Free Europe photographer Amos Chapple tells a story that’s exactly like this.
He traveled with men who illegally mine for tusks of the long-extinct woolly mammoth. In Siberia, a vast and isolated region of Russia, these men go on real treasure hunts. Between hard work, fear of getting caught, hordes of mosquitoes and desperate drinking, they struggle to find the treasure and make money, but also to survive. And a talented photographer captured it all in a series of amazing images.

Seagate Wireless Plus – A Review For Travel Photographers
by 3 CommentsAfter first trying out the WD My Passport Wireless Pro as a solution to backup photos and video while traveling (click here for the full review of the My Passport), I thought I would try the competition – the Seagate Wireless Plus.
The main issue that I had with the WD My Passport is that it could not effectively synchronize files with cloud storage (Dropbox, Google Drive) without the need for a laptop computer.
The Seagate Wireless Plus seems to have this issue solved with built-in synchronization apps for both Dropbox and Google Drive, but as you will see, it has its own issues…
