This seems to have become a big thing lately. Computer games foregoing the usual plain old boring screenshots and offering in-game “cameras” to let you position and compose your shot for a more pleasing image. Hell, even Mario Kart Tour has one. But what we’re starting to see now are games that are entirely based on shooting photos.

We featured one recently that’s actually a Photography Simulator (at least that’s the name of it), but Toem is a game where you play the part of an amateur photographer, going on expeditions and helping to solve problems by “snapping photos in [a] hand-drawn adventure game”. And it’s not for smartphones. This one’s actually for the PC.

Who needs a keyboard and mouse when you can edit your videos with a Steam controller?

There’s been a lot of talk lately about using… “non standard” input devices for using software. DIY Projects such as MIDI2Lightroom, and the Playstation Lightroom Cullinator have led to more purpose built units being built. Products like Palette, a customisable interface of knobs, dials and sliders, and Loupedeck, an all-in-one unit.

For Lightroom, that’s great, but when it comes to video, the options are a little more sparse. Sure, there’s input devices available for DaVinci Resolve, but what about Adobe Premiere Pro? Well, here’s the folks at Owl Bot with a free solution to let you use your Steam Controller with the latest update of Premiere Pro CC2017.

How To Add Steam To Food Photography (Using Photoshop)

Last week I did an article on how to capture steam in food photography right in camera. You can’t always have hot boiling water in every shoot or have really hot food (or frankly, sometimes it is just easier to do in post), yet there are times when you need to have steam. How to Perfectly Capture Steam in Food Photography

I normally hangout at a local coffee shop editing photos because it’s easier for me to concentrate (plus free electricity and air condition… not always easy to find those in the Philippines). On my last visit I saw a person holding a cup of steaming hot coffee and thought of this article. This will be a 2 part article on getting good steam shots for coffee shots or food photography.
