Having been initially announced in February of last year, the Maxima 7 LED light was finally released yesterday. In the time since the Maxima 7 was first announced and now, though, the top lights in that sort of category have been the Aputure 600D Pro and the Nanlite Forza 500. So we thought we’d take a look at the specs and see how each of the three lights stack up against each other on paper.

Now, the real proof will come when the Maxima 7 starts getting into the hands of users who can actually do these side-by-side comparisons for real, but this might give you some clues as to which you might want to go for, depending on your needs.

With Sony’s recent release of the Sony A1, the DSLR big shots are playing catch up again. Nikon has confirmed that a Z mirrorless flagship camera to beat the D6 is on the way at some point this year. It’s not quite official, but almost. Nokishita has posted a couple of Nikon Z50 promotional images to Twitter ahead of an official announcement from Nikon. When images like these leak, an actual announcement is almost certainly within a few days away.

Nokishita leaked a not great Z50 photo earlier along with the new 16-50mm APS-C Z mount lens, although it did show something of the camera’s form, which isn’t all that different from the “Z1” photo which got out several months ago. It looks like I called it on the APS-C Z Mount mirrorless, too (despite the “FX” logo on the body).
