First SpaceX tourist will bring a photographer on the first civilian trip to the moon

Did you dream of flying to the moon when you were a kid? I know I did. It seemed impossible back then, but in a few years’ time, the first civilian will travel to the moon – and he has decided to bring a photographer along.

Japanese entrepreneur Yusaku Maezawa will be SpaceX’s first space tourist who will fly to the moon in 2023, and he will soon announce the artistic crew who will follow him on this journey. Among other artists, he also plans to bring a photographer to capture this incredible journey.

NASA breaks the record with the photos taken furthest from the Earth

NASA has treated us with plenty of amazing photos from space, and their New Horizons spacecraft has recently captured two record-breaking images.  3.79 billion miles from Earth, the spacecraft snapped photos of Kuiper Belt objects which are now officially the farthest images ever taken by a spacecraft.

Jupiter’s animated photos from Juno Spacecraft are out of this world

As you probably already know, NASA makes their photo library publicly available. Thanks to this, from time to time there are devoted artists and space geeks who turn the images from NASA into something new and beautiful. This time, photographer Sean Doran took still photos of Jupiter and turned them into a mesmerizing animation.

The photos taken by Juno spacecraft are awe-inspiring on their own, but the video adds a totally new dimension. Have you ever tried to imagine yourself orbiting around Jupiter? This video makes you feel like you do, and it’s simply wonderful.

Watch the Soyuz Spacecraft Liftoff in This 4K Time Lapse

Commemorating one month since British astronaut Tim Peake launched into space, the European Space Agency uploaded a cool time lapse showing the preparation and liftoff of the massive rocket.

Launched along with Peake were NASA astronaut Tim Kopra and cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko.
