Sigma FP was announced back in July, but without the expected retail price. But now the price and availability have finally been disclosed. The new full-frame L-mount mirrorless camera from Sigma comes with lots of improvements and changes over the previous models. So, the price is substantially higher compared to the previous models.
Sigma’s L-mount fp mirrorless camera price to be $1,899 according to their website source code
There’s something to be said for rooting around in the HTML source of manufacturer websites when new product pages pop up. And certainly there seems to be something to it when it comes to Sigma. One eagle-eyed Redditor by the name of jadware spotted that there was a $1,899 price tag embedded right in the HTML source for the product page on the Sigma website, despite not being shown on the page visibly.
First look at the Sigma FP menu system
I bet you are dying to know more about the Sigma FP that was announced today. A monster capable of shooting 4K 24fps 12bit CinemaDNG. And it does that in a tiny 422g (battery included) 112.6×69.9×45.3mm form factor… That has to be something. One interesting question is how will handling the camera be like?
Sigma’s new FP camera is the world’s smallest full-frame mirrorless and it shoots CinemaDNG video
Sigma has just announced FP, a full frame L-mount mirrorless camera with a 24.6MP backlit Bayer sensor. But don’t let the size fool you: this tiny camera has so much to offer to both photographers and filmmakers, and it sure brings together a lot of “firsts” for Sigma. It’s the company’s first full frame camera, and the first one to shoot video (and yes, it’s 4K). It’s also the first one with a Bayer sensor. So, it’s quite a lot of news from Sigma in a single camera, so let’s dive in and learn more!
