When you bring together animals and GoPro cameras, you can get some really interesting shots. Kyle Naegeli aka The Fish Whisperer decided to take a dive into muddy waters of a local pond. But not literally – he strapped a GoPro onto a turtle, so it filmed the underwater world of its little home.

This photographer shot three models in crocodile-infested water without safety gear
We have certainly seen all kinds of dangerous stunts for the sake of photography. A recent video published by New York Post shows one of the crazies I’ve seen so far. Meikon Underwater Camera Housing Review for Sony Mirrorless
I have been using a number of underwater camera housings over the years – from inexpensive bag housings to professional dive housings.
The problem with most underwater camera housings is that they usually cost more than the camera you’re buying them for. With digital cameras being upgraded every 3 to 5 years, this makes the purchase of an underwater camera housing a significant investment.
After purchasing a Sony mirrorless camera for video work, I decided that I’d like to get an underwater housing for it. I eventually chose a Meikon underwater camera housing (also sold under a number of other brand names such as Sonovel, Andoer, Neweer and others) for my Sony mirrorless camera (a Sony a6300).
In this Meikon underwater camera housing review, I will look at why I purchased a Meikon underwater camera housing, and my experience using it in the field.
Swellpro drones allow to film underwater without the risk of breaking them
Submerging most regular drones in water probably wouldn’t be the best idea. Waterproof Lily drone has failed, and I hope you didn’t order one as there were some problems with refunds. So, if you’re still looking for a drone to fly over glistening lakes, film water activities or even submerge it in water, Swellpro Drones can be a good solution.
This video from Dustin Dunnill demonstrates how the drone works both in the air and underwater. You can get it in and out of the ocean like a teabag, and it rises up and flies with no trouble.
DSLR Underwater Camera Housing Options for Portrait Photography and Video
It’s mid-summer and I have been doing a lot of underwater portrait photography lately…which has started me thinking that it might finally be time to upgrade my current DSLR underwater camera housing.
I have been working with an inexpensive EWA Marine underwater DSLR camera housing for years (read my review here) – I love the simplicity of this housing, but I feel like I have reached a point where the limitations of the flat port are impacting the types of underwater photos that I can capture.
In this article, I will discuss a few of the options for DSLR users to take their camera underwater.
