Scuba Diving Magazine recently published winning photos of its annual underwater photo contest. Now in its 16th year, the contest has received the record number of entries so far. And the best of the best that have been chosen are absolutely marvelous.

If you ask me, animals who steal cameras are always fun to watch. We’ve seen some hilarious encounters of mammals and birds with GoPros, and the funny video we’re about to share with you today took place in the sea. It shows a curious little octopus persistently trying to steal a diver’s GoPro. And it looks like the animal liked it a lot!

Photographer Finds Underwater Camera After Three Months in the Ocean

One of the great things about scuba diving is that you never know what you’re going to see.

Depending on where you dive you might suddenly find yourself face-to-face with a whale, a shark, a turtle or, as John Ng of Scuba Monster recently found out, a Panasonic GH4 in a Nauticam underwater housing.

Much to John’s surprise the camera had survived and thanks to the owner registering his serial number the camera is now on its way home.
