The sky above us hides so much beauty we can’t see with the naked eye. But even a consumer telescope reveals a whole new perspective. Josh Rabener recently got one, and he managed to capture Saturn and its recognizable rings. What’s particularly interesting is that he did it with his smartphone.

This 960fps slow motion footage makes the busy streets of New York look frozen in time

It’s difficult for me to imagine that anything can move slowly on the busy streets of New York. But thanks to his super slo-mo video, filmmaker Glen Vivaris made people and cars appear almost as they’re frozen in time. All it took was a smartphone and an idea, and the result looks like a tense and almost surreal movie scene.

A landscape photographer’s review of Samsung Galaxy S10+

This is not meant as an in-depth review of the Samsung S10+. The review will chiefly discuss the cell phone’s camera capabilities from a landscape photographer’s standpoint.

The first thing I noticed when I began using the Samsung S10+ was how well calibrated the screen is in terms of colors, black point and contrast. What I see on the display is extremely close to what I see on my calibrated computer monitor. That to such a degree that I now use my phone as a point of reference when re-calibrating my monitor.

The latest episode of Jimmy Fallon’s “The Tonight Show” was shot entirely with smartphones

We’ve seen magazine covers and even feature films such as Tangerine that were shot only with a smartphone. But NBC has recently done what we haven’t seen so far. For the Monday’s episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the network ditched the usual format of the show and shot the entire episode using only a few of Samsung Galaxy S10+ smartphones.

After some rumors, guesses, and predictions, Samsung Galaxy S10 has finally been officially announced. Just like most smartphones nowadays, it seems aimed at photographers (or “phoneographers”) and Instagram users. The new flagship phone features three rear cameras that take ultra-wide photos, it has a dedicated “Instagram photo mode,” and a few other features to help you make the best of your phone snapshots.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 was rumored to have five, and then six cameras, with two of them on the front. They won’t be just numerous but apparently, they’ll also allow you to shoot pretty high-quality selfies. In the latest teaser video posted by Samsung Vietnam, it’s been revealed that the front camera will be capable of shooting 4K videos.

Samsung Galaxy S10 will have a triple rear camera, here are the leaked specs

Samsung has introduced a variable aperture in mobile photography and put a triple camera setup in a mid-range phone. The company is soon launching the next flagship model Galaxy S10, and the camera specs have just leaked. A few sources have confirmed that S10 will have a triple rear camera, so this setup is not reserved for the recently launched A7 only. Reportedly, there will also be an S10+ model which will pack five cameras in total: three on the back and two on the front.

Dave Williams is an accomplished travel photographer, writer, and best-selling author from the UK. He is also a photography educator and published Aurora expert.
