Woman furious at Getty over photo sale of her mourning mother

A Canada woman came across a photo of her mother mourning at one of the memorials for Indigenous children in the country. Discovering that the photo is sold and licensed through Getty Images, the woman raised concern and is even thinking of taking legal action.

A UK woman recently started a petition to ban taking photos while breastfeeding in public. She claims that a “creepy” man took photos of her while she was breastfeeding in public and refused to delete them. And now, she wants to make this “disturbing, intrusive act” illegal.

Tennessee bill proposes taking “offensive, nonconsensual” photos in public illegal

When you’re out in public, you can’t expect much privacy (in spite of “Karens” like this and this who would disagree). However, this might change soon, at least under some circumstances. Tennessee lawmakers and the Sullivan County District Attorney’s Office have proposed a bill that would make “embarrassing” and “offensive” nonconsensual photos illegal and punishable by law.

A 40-year-old-man who was following women and photographing them was recently freed from all charges despite the fact that he pointed his camera at their breasts and buttocks. According to appeals court judges, what he did wasn’t illegal because it was done in public places.

Unfortunately, we have seen photographers get assaulted and insulted for shooting on public property, and the latest case happened a few days ago. The police assaulted and arrested the photographer for filming in public, he was left bleeding, and he caught the incident on camera.
