Photography Life makes all their paid premium courses free

Photography Life has just contributed to the selection of online courses that you can take for free. While their premim courses are normally paid $150 per course, you can now access them free of charge. The founders have released them on YouTube, available for everyone to watch.

This photography website steals content and outranks everyone else

It does not take a lot of effort to start a new site and crank out a boatload of content, if all you are doing is copying your competition. With the photography market on the decline, a number of photography websites have already gone through their demises. And what’s left is being attacked by some very dishonest individuals and media companies that exploit search engines to move themselves up the ranks.

These websites are copycats – they crank out content on a daily basis solely for traffic, they have no communities and they have no real following. One such website is ExpertPhotography.com. In this article, we will take a look at how ExpertPhotography shamelessly stole numerous articles from Photography Life and other websites, and how it quickly climbed the ladders of search engines, even managing to surpass the ranking of the original content.

Lenses are getting much heavier than they used to be

It feels like every year or to, my camera bags get heavier and heavier, even though the total amount of kit I carry hasn’t really changed. It just gets replaced by newer stuff. And despite the push towards mirrorless, cameras seem to be getting heavier, too. Or are they? Apparently not. It’s no the cameras that are getting heavier, but the lenses we attach to them.

The folks over at Photography Life just did a study of the weights of 733 lenses released since the year 2,000 to see how they all measure up. And their results show that lenses are most certainly heavier than they used to be.
