Shared a Night-Time Photo Of The Eiffel Tower? You Are Breaking The Law

One of the most iconic places to visit in France (and in Paris in particular) is the Eiffel tower. And while anyone is free to take its photos by day or night, sharing a photo of the light-show that the tower is engulfed in is pretty much infringing on the copyright of the show.

torrentfreak aims a spot light on this weird copyright situation by explaining that some architecture and some landmarks are copyrighted.

You’re probably used to seeing a lot more of the Louvre, the Eiffel Tower, or the Arc de Triomphe than you are to seeing the rest of the city. 4-Part Paris In Motion Is a Happy Love Song For The City Of Light

Videographer Mayeul Akpovi just released his latest addition to his Paris In Motion series. It is a fun, happy timelapse/hyperlapse series showing Paris in all its glory.

Through wonderful locations, interesting people and great cinematography Mayeul captures the uplifting side of the city. Being a four parts series it is interesting to see how Mayeul technique refined through the year he has been releasing those movies.

Two years ago we would have been thrown back by the minimal list of gear that Mayeul uses (5D Mark III, 24-70mm f2.8, 17-40mm f4 and a  70-300 lenses as well as ND2 to ND400 filters), but over the last year we learned that you don’t really need lots of gear to produce astonishing work.

Hey guys, this is Von Wong, Montreal Based Conceptual Photographer. I recently did a Tango themed photoshoot around the Old Port here in Montreal. Udi thought it would be interesting to provide a little more detail than in the actual Behind the Scenes video developing a little more into specific shots, lighting techniques and the dynamics of doing an unplanned photoshoot with a small team so…hope you guys enjoy!

Dave Williams is an accomplished travel photographer, writer, and best-selling author from the UK. He is also a photography educator and published Aurora expert. John Aldred is a photographer with over 20 years of experience in the portrait and commercial worlds. He is based in Scotland and has been an early adopter - and occasional beta tester - of almost every digital imaging technology in that time. As well as his creative visual work, John uses 3D printing, electronics and programming to create his own photography and filmmaking tools and consults for a number of brands across the industry.

Dunja Djudjic is a multi-talented artist based in Novi Sad, Serbia. With 15 years of experience as a photographer, she specializes in capturing the beauty of nature, travel, and fine art. In addition to her photography, Dunja also expresses her creativity through writing, embroidery, and jewelry making.
