Back in January, Nikon updated its roadmap of 23 Z-mount lenses. The 24mm f/1.8 S was scheduled for 2019, and now it’s officially here. The wide-angle prime is designed for Nikon’s full-frame Z-mount mirrorless cameras, and it will cost just under $1,000. Nikon aims it particularly at landscape, cityscape, and architecture photographers, but those shooting environmental portraits and group shots will also benefit from this focal length.

Finally, Nikon seems to be adding some more entry-level glass to its Z lens lineup. Today, they have announced the new Nikkor Z 85mm f/1.8 S lens for its Nikon Z mirrorless cameras. It costs almost twice as much as its F mount counterpart, coming in at close to $800, but it’s a start.

This is the seventh lens to be announced in the Nikon Z system, although we probably shouldn’t be surprised by the price given that the Nikkor Z 50mm f/1.8 S costs almost $600 and the Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.8 S costs a pretty crazy $850.

When Nikon and Canon first launched their full-frame mirrorless cameras, you could only buy accompanying lenses from them. But the list of third-party lenses for Nikon Z and Canon RF has been expanding, and Lensbaby is the latest company to join. They have launched as many as eight lenses that you can use natively with your Nikon Z or Canon RF.

Techart has managed to not only take advantage of this tiny space to create what appears to be a fairly solid looking adapter, but they’ve also fit a CPU in there.
