Nikon has released new firmware updates for both the Nikon Z6 and Nikon Z7 mirrorless cameras. Both firmwares are marked as version 2.10, and are fundamentally identical in features and fixes. They add support for the two new Z mount lenses, change the way a couple of things work and fix a few bugs.
What they don’t do is add CFexpress support or RAW output over HDMI, the latter of which is something that Z6 Filmmaker’s Kit owners have already been waiting for for quite a long time. Panasonic has introduced CFexpress support through new firmware recently, and with quite a number of CFexpress manufacturers out there now including SanDisk, Sony, Angelbird and ProGrade, I’m surprised it’s taking Nikon this long.
