Glow worms turn New Zealand cave into starry night and I spent past year photographing it

Something quite special dwells beneath the surface of New Zealand and these images prove that the country is just as beautiful below ground as it is above!

The Waitomo area is famous for it’s limestone caves and within these caves are one of the most magical insects in the world, the glowworm. Glow worms emit a phosphorescent glow that light up the cave and create a surreal environment.

There’s no way around it, our world is dominated by electronic devices.  In these days of the super computers in our pockets we call cellphones, as well as tablets, smart watches and the countless other gadgets which make up the Internet of Things, one mother is taking things back to basics.

In an ongoing project, New Zealand photographer Niki Boon has been documenting the almost technology-free lives of her four children in a stunning black and white photography series, Childhood in the Raw.

Kiwi couple celebrates matrimony by taking wedding photo in front of a KFC

It’s not uncommon for couples to incorporate certain objects, people or locations in their wedding photographs, as many times they, either as individuals or as a couple, have a connection with a special something.

Photographer Makes Career Out Of Capturing The World Of The Working Dog

They always say, shoot what you love and it will come through in your photography. Looking through the images from Andrew Fladeboe’s portfolio, one would be hard pressed to prove otherwise. The United States based photographer has been travelling the world photographing working dogs for several years. The project has brought Fladeboe to the Netherlands, Scotland, Southern France, and Norway. In 2014, he was the recipient of the Fulbright grant which allowed the photographer to add New Zealand to his list of locations.[Read More…]

Alex Baker is a portrait and lifestyle driven photographer based in Valencia, Spain. She works on a range of projects from commercial to fine art and has had work featured in publications such as The Daily Mail, Conde Nast Traveller and El Mundo, and has exhibited work across Europe

Dave Williams is an accomplished travel photographer, writer, and best-selling author from the UK. He is also a photography educator and published Aurora expert. Dave has traveled extensively in recent years, capturing stunning images from around the world in a modified van. His work has been featured in various publications and he has worked with notable brands such as Skoda, EE, Boeing, Huawei, Microsoft, BMW, Conde Nast, Electronic Arts, Discovery, BBC, The Guardian, ESPN, NBC, and many others.

John Aldred is a photographer with over 20 years of experience in the portrait and commercial worlds. He is based in Scotland and has been an early adopter - and occasional beta tester - of almost every digital imaging technology in that time. As well as his creative visual work, John uses 3D printing, electronics and programming to create his own photography and filmmaking tools and consults for a number of brands across the industry.

Dunja Djudjic is a multi-talented artist based in Novi Sad, Serbia. With 15 years of experience as a photographer, she specializes in capturing the beauty of nature, travel, and fine art. In addition to her photography, Dunja also expresses her creativity through writing, embroidery, and jewelry making.
