First look at the NANLUX Evoke 900C RGBLAC LED

Just over a week ago, Nanlux announced the new Nanlux Evoke 900C (buy here), which was said to be on display at NAB 2023 in Las Vegas. We have a team at NAB this week, so we chatted with Nanlux US GM and VP of Sales Mark Bender at the Nanlux booth to see the Evoke 900C for ourselves and learn more about it. The Nanlux Evoke 900C is a powerful 940W RGBLAC LED light designed for high-power use on film and TV sets.

It’s IP55 rated and built to go anywhere. As well as being rugged, the Evoke 900C is pretty powerful, with an output of up to 40,300 lux of 5600K daylight at 3 metres when using the 45-degree reflector. It has a CRI/TLCI of 96 and offers an array of colours that aren’t possible from more traditional RGBWW LED lights.

Nanlux Evoke 900C is a massive 940W RGBLAC LED light

Nanlux has today announced the new Nanlux Evoke 900C (buy here). It’s a 940W LED light and a little bit less powerful than the Nanlux Evoke 1200 series. But the Evoke 900C features RGBLAC LEDs for maximum colour reproduction and accuracy. It still boasts an impressive 12,940 lux of 5600K daylight at 3 metres with the 45-degree reflector, and a CRL/TLCI of 96, as well as even more colour modes than you might be used to with RGB LEDs.

There is no doubt that the Nanlux Evoke 900C is designed for heavy-duty work on higher-end sets. It offers remote control via DMX/RDM, Art-Net/sACN, LumenRadio CRMX as well as the company’s Nanlink smartphone app. It has an advanced HSI mode, RGBW mode, XY coordinates and gel mode. It offers colour matching to other light sources on set and features 15 built-in simulation effects modes.
