It’s nothing new for Meta to enrich Instagram with features picked up from other popular apps. But here’s an unusual claim: Instagram’s next new feature could come from, believe it or not, MySpace.

Mobile developer and reverse engineer Alessandro Paluzzi recently discovered a cool new feature that might be coming to Instagram. Well, it’s new for Instagram, but it’s been out there a while – the app will soon let you add a song to your profile.

“MySpace Tom” became a photographer after selling MySpace, and he’s darn good

You must remember the recognizable photo of a smiling man named Tom, who was your no. 1 friend on MySpace. In 2005, News Corporation bought MySpace for the incredible $580 million, and in 2009 Tom left the company. Even if you haven’t been wondering what on earth he is doing now, you’ll still find the answer interesting – he’s turned to photography.

“MySpace Tom,” or Tom Anderson as he’s known in the real world, discovered his passion for photography shortly after retiring. From 2011, he’s been traveling the world and taking photos that are truly stunning!

Back when social media was still something establishing its foundations, things were a bit different. People didn’t care what they typed as comments on MySpace, or how many seizures they’d cause others to have from their profile’s flashing black-and-white Fall Out Boy skin(face it: that was why we all learned HTML in the first place.) Where once profile pictures were something you’d only expect high school kids to worry about, things have changed today.

Alex Baker is a portrait and lifestyle driven photographer based in Valencia, Spain. She works on a range of projects from commercial to fine art and has had work featured in publications such as The Daily Mail, Conde Nast Traveller and El Mundo, and has exhibited work across Europe

Dave Williams is an accomplished travel photographer, writer, and best-selling author from the UK. He is also a photography educator and published Aurora expert. Dave has traveled extensively in recent years, capturing stunning images from around the world in a modified van. His work has been featured in various publications and he has worked with notable brands such as Skoda, EE, Boeing, Huawei, Microsoft, BMW, Conde Nast, Electronic Arts, Discovery, BBC, The Guardian, ESPN, NBC, and many others.

John Aldred is a photographer with over 20 years of experience in the portrait and commercial worlds. He is based in Scotland and has been an early adopter - and occasional beta tester - of almost every digital imaging technology in that time. As well as his creative visual work, John uses 3D printing, electronics and programming to create his own photography and filmmaking tools and consults for a number of brands across the industry.

Dunja Djudjic is a multi-talented artist based in Novi Sad, Serbia. With 15 years of experience as a photographer, she specializes in capturing the beauty of nature, travel, and fine art. In addition to her photography, Dunja also expresses her creativity through writing, embroidery, and jewelry making.
