Mom and daughter cosplay as Disney characters and create fantastic photos together

From my experience, a mom and her daughter are the best team there is. And mom-daugher duo from Canada proves me right. Photographer Camillia Courts and her seven-year-old daughter Layla are a cosplay dream team! Layla dresses up as Disney princesses (and some other movie and cartoon characters), and her mom Camillia takes magnificent photos of her. With a some makeup, Photoshop and with lots of love, the duo creates an epic series of Disney-inspired photos.

I am not a female photographer.

I am a photographer…who happens to be female.

Together, in this industry, in the year 2015, we are simply “photographers.”

We are not defined by our gender.

I, for one, want to be defined by my talent and ability, not by the fact I have a uterus and my kids call me “Mama.”

Breastfeeding in public is always a hot topic of debate and a photographer from Illinois is looking to shed more positive light on the subject. Ivette Ivens has become a breastfeeding advocate of sorts, having breastfed her own two children, the bond it helped to develop between mother and child inspired the photographer to undertake a beautiful photography project in which Ivens photographs women breastfeeding their children, usually in nature, to help signify just how natural of an activity breastfeeding actually is.[Read More…]
